About the masterclass:

Both the current European Parliament and the current European Commission are coming to the end of their terms in June and October 2024, respectively.

As they finalise their legacies, we are also looking ahead towards what the priorities for the next 5 years will be. This masterclass explores how Europe’s next agenda is formed, with a particular focus on climate policy, in the context of multiple crises and a rapidly shifting geopolitical landscape.

You will get an overview of agenda setting in the EU and the political rhythm of the upcoming changes. You will find out how agenda setting works in the field of climate policy works in practice. In an interactive exercise you will simulate how different actors engage with policymakers in an effort to shape the EU’s new agenda. There will also be time for a Q&A on careers in European policy.
