Night of Ideas 2023: Call for video shorts

The Institut Français and the French Embassy in the UK, in collaboration with UCL, announce an open call for video essays from students for the Night of Ideas 2023.
The Night of Ideas is an annual festival of debate, discussion, performance, music, film and more at the Institut Français, France’s cultural institute in London. It brings together top thinkers, artists and political figures to address pressing questions facing the world today. The theme of the next edition is “MORE?”.
Undergraduate and postgraduate students currently enrolled in a London university are invited to participate in the open call for thought-provoking video-essays. The two winning entries and 8 runners-up will be screened during the Night of Ideas at the Institut Français in South Kensington on 9 February 2023.
The winner will be awarded a prize of £250, with a £100 for second place.
Videos must be previously unpublished work, no longer than 60 seconds and subtitled in English. Entries must be submitted by 2 January 2023. For more information, see the PDF file below. Bonne chance!
