GBSH and Guys and St Thomas will be hosting a recruitment drive next week! Would you like a career in healthcare management? Then come and learn how you can fast-track your way there at this NHS management training scheme showcase!
This would be a perfect opportunity for any student looking to connect with professionals already in the NHS. We will also have employers from Guys and St. Thomas' hospital advertising recruitment opportunities.
You will hear from current trainees and recruiters, in addition to those who have completed the scheme, about what your experience during and after the programme could be.
Also, you will be exposed to the various aspects of healthcare management and the multitude of positions available. You will receive details on the in-depth and hands-on training as well as the leadership qualifications and skill workshops included in the scheme.
What?
The GSTT MTS is a scheme that develops leaders capable of filling the NHS CEO roles of tomorrow. The scheme gives you practical experience in general management and other leadership roles in the NHS. So much is invested in trainees to ensure that they have an immediate and positive impact because well-equipped leaders and general managers play a crucial role in ensuring that the NHS keeps functioning efficiently and effectively. Trainees also study towards a postgraduate qualification while at it. Why? GSTT is a value-driven organisation that advances health and well-being as a local, national and international leader in clinical care, education and research. Staff development & wellbeing are deeply embedded at all levels at GSTT so you can be rest assured that you truly matter and are valued as a staff of GSTT.Why GSTT MTS? The scheme will equip you with the skills and the confidence to make a real difference in our healthcare services – with the fundamental aim of improving patient care. The NHS pulled through the pandemic because it has leaders and managers who inspired and motivated staff to keep contributing to positive patient care amidst the uncertainty. Wouldn't you like to be part of such an amazing team of inspiring leaders and inspired staff?
Who? The scheme is open to individuals with varying ranges of experiences whether you're a fresh graduate or a professional desiring a career switch to healthcare. You can be a fresh graduate with no prior work experience, a mid-level manager seeking to improve their management cum leadership skills, a professional who seeks to understand the core clinical aspects of the NHS to aid better decision making or a clinical staff who wants a better grasp of leadership, management, and administrative elements of healthcare; the list is endless.Whoever you are or whatever your experiences are, your passion for improving healthcare and improving patient experiences and health outcomes makes you the ideal candidate.
How? Applications open between December and February each year. There are usually 5 stages in the recruitment process - please note that the process varies from year to year to ensure that everyone has a fair chance at getting in.The selection process is usually quite intensive and there are many competitive applicants every year so be sure to learn all that you can about the organisation, the scheme and above all, how the scheme aligns with you and your goals.
