UCL Global Engagement, working with the UCL Institute of Education, will host a comprehensive seminar on India’s National Education Policy (NEP).
The seminar, chaired by Professor Monica Lakhanpaul (UCL Pro-Vice-Provost for South Asia), will focus on higher education and bring together a select group of senior academics, policy and regulatory experts from India to demystify the NEP and take stock of the changing Indian higher education landscape. There will also be discussions on research within HE institutions in India and potential collaboration opportunities for UCL such as in bidirectional teaching, learning and research.
The seminar will be divided into four parts:
Part 1: Welcome, overview and developments on the NEP
Part 2: Changing higher education & the emergence of a quality-driven research agenda in India
Part 3: From policy to practicality – views from Indian institutions
Part 4: Closing remarks and next steps
See the full agenda here. This event will be held online via Zoom Webinar and will be recorded.
We would also like to encourage colleagues to share this invitation with others across UCL who might be interested in joining the seminar.
