The Grand Challenge of Sustainable Cities is holding an exciting event, “Urban Grand Challenges” on Wednesday 4 October 2023 that will celebrate the GCSC’s achievement over the last 12 years and the launch of the two new evolved GCs of Climate Crisis and Mental Health and Wellbeing. The event will also explore the value of viewing the new Grand Challenge programme through an urban/place cross-cutting lens, with a focus of urban community for this year.
The event will be split into two parts.
Part 2: Afternoon session
Shared lunch with mini talks around a communal kitchen.
Immerse yourself in an inclusive communal lunch where everyone is warmly welcomed. Engage with eminent speakers from UCL, Calthorpe Community Garden, and other community groups from London. This ambience is inviting, tailored for mutual discovery, interactive discussions, and fostering lasting bonds.
Live music performance and a number of workshops will take place after the shared lunch.
Participants can sign up for one or both parts through the Eventbrite links here (Part 1 & Part 2). Find out more information about the first session and book tickets here.
