New MSc in Health Data Analytics

20 February 2017

Not one but two recent reports have highlighted the crisis in analytics capacity in the NHS. In response to this, UCL Institute of Health Informatics has put forward for UCL approval a new MSc in Health Data Analytics, to be delivered through a mix of online learning and face-to-face teaching. The Institute will be working with local employers and national agencies to design a curriculum that is relevant, exciting and forward-looking. Students will acquire skills in operational research and statistical methods as well as a profound understanding of the practical and ethical issues associated with the use of health data. They will work on projects in public health, primary care and hospital medicine. The programme is designed to complement existing courses in UCL’s growing portfolio of health informatics and digital health programmes.
