MiADE software and availability

MiADE is now available as an open-source Python package.

The software is accessible through multiple channels:

The open-source repository includes:

  • Core MiADE code for processing clinical notes and extracting medical concepts
  • Pre-built annotators and post-processing modules for identifying problems, medications, and allergies concepts
  • Utility functions for extracting drug dosages and parsing paragraph structures in clinical notes
  • Comprehensive documentation with installation instructions and tutorials
  • Contribution guidelines for developers interested in enhancing the library.

MiADE is released under the Elastic License 2.0, which allows users to freely access, modify and distribute the code. This licence promotes collaboration and transparency while placing limited restrictions on offering MiADE as a managed service. By choosing this licensing model, we aim to foster a community of developers and researchers who can contribute to the ongoing improvement of MiADE, ultimately advancing research and patient care.
