Healthy Ageing

Thanks to advances in healthcare and living standards, people in the UK (and many parts of the world) are living longer than ever before. Today, there's almost 11 million people, or 19% of the population, aged 65 and over in the UK. By 2041, this number is expected to double. 

But the experience of getting older is becoming increasingly negative for many. 

Here’s what we’re doing at the Institute of Healthcare Engineering to tackle the loneliness, deteriorating health and difficulties accessing services faced by many.
