The Dementia Staff Network provides a safe and supportive space for those who are touched by the disease.
The Dementia Staff Network has been created to provide a safe and supportive space for those who are touched by the disease. It could be that you care for someone with the disease, or that you have a close friend/neighbour who has the disease, and you want to know more about what you can do to support them. Whatever your experience of Dementia is we welcome you and hope you find this network helpful.
As a network we want to be able to provide the following:
Up to date information about the disease and support mechanisms for it. This will be sourced from a variety of places, academics, dementia agencies, charities etc.
Want to create a safe space for those touched by the disease to ask practical questions of one another.
Gain peer support from those going through similar experiences.
Sharing personal stories that may help others in similar situations.
This network wants to create a space where its members can be honest about what they are experiencing and gain support of others from this network. However, we are aware that reading/hearing of the experiences of others could cause emotional reactions in some members. We therefore want to remind you that our Employee Assistance Programme: Staff Support Service (EAP) is available 24/7, 365 days a year to provide listening and support when it is needed.

Please note we are part of the UCL Parents and Carers Together (PACT) staff network
