Amsterdam: Dementia

In Amsterdam, there were 3,676 deaths from dementia over the study period (1996 - 2008).  This figure consists of 915 male deaths and 2,761 female deaths and is based on data from the Centraal Bureau voor de Statistiek (Statistics Netherlands).  The spatial distribution of mortality due to dementia in Amsterdam is demonstrated in the maps below, shown separately for men and women.  For further information about how these maps were created, please visit the methodological section of the Atlas.
