Barcelona: Cerebrovascular Disease

In Barcelona, there were 11,898 deaths from cerebrovascular disease (diseases associated with the blood vessels supplying the brain) over the study period (2000 - 2008).  This figure consists of 4,705 male deaths and 7,193 female deaths and is based on data from the Mortality Registry of Catalonia.  The spatial distribution of mortality due to cerebrovascular disease in Barcelona is demonstrated in the maps below, shown separately for men and women.
