Barcelona: Transport-related Injuries

In Barcelona, there were 847 deaths from transport-related injuries over the study period (2000 - 2008).  This figure consists of 587 male deaths and 260 female deaths and is based on data from the Mortality Registry of Catalonia.  The spatial distribution of mortality due to transport-related injuries in Barcelona is demonstrated in the maps below for men only. Women have been excluded from this analysis, as female mortality from transport-related injuries did not occur in at least 30 percent of Barcelona's small areas during the study period.  For further information about how these maps were created, please visit the methodological section of the Atlas.
