Lisbon: Chronic Liver Disease

In Lisbon, there were 5,271 deaths from chronic liver disease over the study period (1995 - 2008).  This figure consists of 4,149 male deaths and 1,122 female deaths and is based on data from the Instituto Nacional de Estatística (Statistics Portugal). The spatial distribution of mortality due to chronic liver disease in Lisbon is demonstrated in the maps below, shown separately for men and women.  For further information about how these maps were created, please visit the methodological section of the Atlas.
