Lisbon: Dementia

In Lisbon, there were 1,037 deaths from dementia over the study period (1995 - 2008).  This figure consists of 337 male deaths and 700 female deaths and is based on data from the Instituto Nacional de Estatística (Statistics Portugal).  The spatial distribution of mortality due to dementia in Lisbon is demonstrated in the maps below, shown separately for men and women.  For further information about how these maps were created, please visit the methodological section of the Atlas.
