Lisbon: Lung Cancer

In Lisbon, there were 13,550 deaths from lung cancer over the study period (1995 - 2008).  This figure consists of 11,169 male deaths and 2,381 female deaths and is based on data from the Instituto Nacional de Estatística (Statistics Portugal).  The spatial distribution of mortality due to lung cancer in Lisbon is demonstrated in the maps below, shown separately for men and women.  For further information about how these maps were created, please visit the methodological section of the Atlas.
