Madrid: Suicides

In Madrid, there were 1,045 suicides over the study period (2000 - 2007). This figure consists of 743 male deaths and 302 female deaths and is based on data from the Mortality Registry of Madrid.  The spatial distribution of suicide mortality in Madrid is demonstrated in the maps below for men only. Women have been excluded from this analysis, as female suicides did not occur in at least 30 percent of Madrid's small areas during the study period.  For further information about how these maps were created, please visit the methodological section of the Atlas.
