Stockholm: Dementia

In Stockholm, there were 5,182 deaths from dementia over the study period (2000 - 2007).  This figure consists of 1,448 male deaths and 3,734 female deaths and is based on register data from Statistics Sweden linked to death records from the Swedish National Board of Health and Welfare.  The spatial distribution of mortality due to dementia in Stockholm is demonstrated in the maps below, shown separately for men and women.  For further information about how these maps were created, please visit the methodological section of the Atlas.
