Zurich: Dementia

In Zurich, there were 1,759 deaths from dementia over the study period (2000 - 2008).  This figure consists of 479 male deaths and 1,280 female deaths and is based on data from the Statistik Stadt Zürich (Zurich Statistics Office).  The spatial distribution of mortality due to dementia in Zurich is demonstrated in the maps below, shown separately for men and women.  For further information about how these maps were created, please visit the methodological section of the Atlas.
