Zurich: Ischaemic Heart Disease

In Zurich, there were 5,413 deaths from ischaemic heart disease (diseases associated with the blood vessels supplying the heart) over the study period (2000 - 2008).  This figure consists of 2,374 male deaths and 3,039 female deaths and is based on data from the Statistik Stadt Zürich (Zurich Statistics Office).  The spatial distribution of mortality due to ischaemic heart disease in Zurich is demonstrated in the maps below, shown separately for men and women.  For further information about how these maps were created, please visit the methodological section of the Atlas.
