A physical repository for collections of pseudonymised residual diagnostic samples of non-relevant material.
The UCL Infection DNA Bank is a physical repository for collections of pseudonymised residual diagnostic samples of non-relevant material with data from patients, and will also hold additional samples collected with consent for use in research.
The Infection DNA Bank provides a unique opportunity to advance medical research by making access to nucleic acids from diagnostic material surplus to diagnostic requirements easier, and more efficient.
Supporting projects principally involved in the study of human diseases and normal functioning of the human body, the DNA Bank aims to strengthen the scientific needs of UCL research groups, primarily in the Research Department of Infection.
