Co-directors
- Prof Tariq Jazeel
Tariq works at the intersections of human geography, South Asian studies and postcolonial and critical theory. In broad terms, his research explores the spatial constitutions of nation, identity and belonging in South Asian contexts, especially in Sri Lanka, as well as the challenges of engaging non-western contexts.
- Dr Jagjeet Lally
Jagjeet is an Associate Professor of the History of Early Modern and Colonial India within the UCL History Department. His first book, India and the Silk Roads. The History of a Trading World (2021 Hurst, HarperCollins India, and the Oxford University Press) forms the centrepiece of a larger body of work that spearheads an ‘interior’ or ’terrestrial turn’ in South Asian and global history.
