How can the strangeness of an ancient language disrupt and transform modern English? How might the occult traditions of charm, ritual and ‘Women’s Songs’ map onto contemporary poetry and performance? Through innovative methods for sounding and translating unfamiliar languages, we will create new multilingual work in an open and collaborative setting. This will be a fun, interactive workshop aimed at anyone with an interest in poetry – no previous experience of early medieval languages is necessary.
All welcome. Please note that there may be photography and/or audio recording at some events and that admission is on a first come first served basis. Please follow this FAQ link for more information. All our events are free but you can support the IAS here.
