The UK-China Humanities Alliance (UKCHA) is a collaborative organisation comprising 17 leading institutions from China and the UK.
Its mission is to foster international cooperation in the humanities and humanities education, recognising the ever-increasing importance of these fields in enhancing mutual understanding and deepening our comprehension of the complex issues that define our age. The Alliance promotes globally-oriented interdisciplinary research and supports its members' collective aim of providing high-quality education that addresses today's challenges.
Membership
Established in 2016, the Alliance comprises 17 leading colleges and universities from China and the UK. Initiated by Tsinghua University and co-founded by its members, the Secretariat is housed in the Institute for World Literatures and Culture (IWLC) at Tsinghua University.
UCL, an early supporter of UKCHA, has been involved with the Alliance since its inception.
