Amidst the coup in Myanmar, students and other young people have emerged as central figures in resisting the political upheaval, which dramatically altered their daily lives and future prospects.

The adoption of the Civil Disobedience Movement (CDM) of teachers and students as a form of resistance led to the paralysis of educational institutions nationwide. In response to escalating repression, some students have joined armed struggles, while others have sought refuge across the border in Thailand.

In this seminar, Ikuko sheds light on the circumstances and challenges faced by the students who have fled to a border town in Thailand, providing insight into the current situation.

This event will be particularly useful for researchers, academics and students.

Please note that this is a hybrid event and can be joined either in-person or online.
