Justice After Jackson
13 November
This half-day UCL Judicial Institute Special Event brings together judges, academics and practitioners to examine a number of issues that arise out of the Jackson Cost reforms.
Sir Rupert Jackson (Court of Appeal of England and Wales) was commissioned by the then Master of the Rolls and Head of Civil Justice, Sir Anthony Clarke, to conduct a fundamental review of civil litigation costs in 2008. He was specifically required to make recommendations aimed at ensuring that civil litigation resulted in ‘access to justice at proportionate cost’.
