Where were you during the UCL Pre-University Course?
I am from Slovakia but presently I am living in Tunisia, Africa.
The main difference between studying at my school, where all subjects are taught in French and Arabic, and the Pre-University course is that at UCL all the teaching is done in English and UCL is more modern.
I am currently studying Physics.
Why did you choose the UCL Pre-University Course?
I was attracted by the course mainly by the opportunity to improve my English communication and language skills.
I wanted to study with the UCL Pre-University Course to understand how teaching is done at universities.
Do you have any personal highlights from the course and why?
One of my favourite activities was self-study during the free time.
For example, I could experience the virtual visits to popular London attractions and learn lots of things about its history and see a university lecture and more.
Which skills have you developed during the course?
During the course, I developed my vocabulary, writing, pronunciation and especially presentation when I worked in a group.
What do you want to do once you’ve finished high school?
In future, I would like to obtain an MBA (Master of Business Administration).
I would like to study in London at UCL or at the London Business School.
I would like to pursue my career in International business.
What advice would you give to future Pre-University Course students?
The first day of the course I was a bit frightened and worried about it but at the end of the first lesson I was more comfortable and I started to enjoy it.
I exchanged contact details with all participants to keep in touch which I highly appreciate.
