Dr Rob George named International Family Lawyer of the Year

The International Family Lawyer of the Year prize is awarded to the lawyer who the judging panel believe has made a major contribution to the field of international family law and led the way for other practitioners to follow.

UCL Laws is delighted to share that Dr Rob George, Vice-Dean (Programmes) and Reader in Family Law at UCL Laws, has won International Family Lawyer of the Year at this year’s Family Law Awards.

The Family Law Awards, hosted by LexisNexis, aims to recognise the important work of family lawyers, and celebrate their many successes and outstanding achievements. This year’s awards were hosted virtually on 25 November.

Commenting on his win, Dr George said: 

"I am delighted to accept this award, and grateful for the recognition it brings. Work in this area is not an individual endeavour, and I thank the many friends and colleagues in academia and in the professions who have helped me over the years."
