Aleisha Ebrahimi acts as academic expert at Women and Equalities Committee roundtable

Ms Ebrahimi acted as an academic expert for a roundtable on International Obligations & Violence Against Women and Girls.
Aleisha Ebrahimi (PhD Candidate and Family Law Associate Lecturer (Teaching) at UCL Laws) acted in an expert academic role following an invitation from the Women and Equalities Committee, UK Parliament earlier this year. The Committee held an expert roundtable on aspects of policy regarding Violence against Women and Girls, and priorities to scrutinise regarding the UK’s international obligations in this area.
Aleisha specialises in international human rights law, with a focus on women’s rights. She was appointed to the Office of Domestic Abuse Commissioner as Senior Policy Advisor to the Commissioner in 2022.
