Dr Franziska Arnold-Dwyer wins InsuranceERM Climate Risk & Sustainability Award

Dr Arnold-Dwyer’s book on Insurance, Climate Change and the Law was recognised for its thought-provoking exploration of how insurers can influence climate action through a unique legal framework.
Research on insurance and climate change by Dr Franziska Arnold-Dwyer (Associate Professor of Law at UCL Laws) was recognised by an InsuranceERM Climate Risk & Sustainability Award. Her book Insurance, Climate Change and the Law (Routledge, 2024) won in the Best Research Paper category.
Dr Arnold-Dwyer’s book examines the intersection of climate risk and insurance, maps the legal and regulatory landscape, and puts forward proposals for the enabling role that the insurance sector can take in the global fight against climate change and in building climate risk resilience.
