The latest issue of the renowned international competition law journal Concurrences features an interview with Professor Ioannis Lianos, conducted by Damien Gerard, Director General of the Belgian Competition Authority. The interview follows the completion of Prof. Lianos’s tenure as President of the Hellenic Competition Commission (HCC) and his role as a member of the Board of the OECD Competition Committee.

In the interview, Professor Lianos reflects on the significant achievements and transformation of the HCC under his leadership, his contributions to the global governance of competition law, and the key challenges he faced during a turbulent period for the global economy, including the pandemic and rising inflation.

Professor Lianos completed his mandate in January 2024 and has since re-joined UCL Faculty of Laws full-time. Additionally, he has been appointed as a Member of the UK Competition Appeal Tribunal (CAT).
