Rukevwe Otive-Igbuzor

Research Assistant, Global Centre for Democratic Constitutionalism

Rukevwe Otive-Igbuzor joined the Global Centre for Democratic Constitutionalism, hosted at UCL Laws, in September 2024. She holds an LLB in Law and an MA in Human Rights Policy and Practice. Her master’s thesis, titled “Democratisation, Political Inclusion, and Systemic Justice: The Effects of Youth Movements on Social and Political Change in Nigeria”, explores how, and the extent to which, youth movements have driven change in various stages of Nigeria’s history. 

Having worked with various think tanks, law firms, non-governmental organisations, and legal advice clinics, Rukevwe’s experience spans across the legal and development sectors in the UK and Nigeria. She is also admitted to the Nigerian Bar.
