Notes

An undated MS record by William Vaughan implied to have been c. 1797 ('within twenty years' of 20 years after 1757, and 'at the end of the eighteenth-century') including sterling ranges of values for both adults and children gave the enslaved population of Flamstead as 232, that of Crooked Spring as 156 and Vaughan's Field Penn as 134, for a total of 522 enslaved people.
