Attorney-General of Barbados as the time of compensation [despite the indication below that he took office only in 1841] and later Chief Justice of St Vincent. Nephew and beneficiary of the will of Edward Sharpe of York Place (q.v.), and grandson of Charles Payne Sharpe (q.v.).

Adm. at the Middle Temple, Nov. 5, 1814. Called to the Bar, Nov. 12, 1819. On the Home Circuit. Attorney-General of Barbados, 1841-6; Chief Justice of St Vincent, 1846-66. Left personalty of £1000 in 1867.
His son, Henry Sharpe (?-1884), became Provost-Marshal at Grenada [dates not known] and married in 1861 Frances Elizabeth, 1st daughter of Hon. William Darnell Davis, Chief Justice of Grenada.
