Biography
Daughter of Michael Carmac and widow of Vicomte de Fitzjames, whom she married in Paris in 1819. Her half-share of the award was claimed by her trustee John Cargill; the other half went to George Richard Carmac (q.v.), probably her brother.
- At Paris, the Chevalier de Fitzjames, brother to the Duke de Fitzjames, to Helen Frances, dau. of Michael Carmac esq. of Nottingham Place. Death of Helen de Fitzjames registered Surrey Q1 1849, buried Claygate aged 55 on 20/03/1849. Will of Helene Francoise De Fitzjames heretofore Carmac of Thames Ditton Surrey proved 14/06/1850. The will of Michael Carmac formerly surgeon to HM's 63rd Regiment of Foot, late Apothecary to the Forces, had been proved 08/12/1826.
