Daughter of Samuel Whitbread of Cardington, the brewer and MP for Co. Bedford. Mother of James Adam Gordon (q.v.) and wife of James Gordon (q.v.). Inheritor from her maternal uncle William Hayton of Stocks in Hertfordshire, which she passed to her son. In a codicil of 1826 to her will, she mentioned that James Adam Gordon was visiting his property in St Vincent and Antigua.
Will of Harriot Gordon wife of Hill Street Berkeley Square (made in 1818 with later codicils) proved 16/06/1832, PRPB 11/1801/173.
