1778 - 1836
'R. P. Broom' was the owner of the Palmyra estate in Berbice, British Guiana, the compensation for which was paid to Christopher Edmund Broome (q.v.). Christopher Edmund Broome was the nephew of Richard Pinniger Broome and LBS has inferred this man Richard Pinniger Broome to have been the owner of Palmyra, although the path to ownership has not been established. The compensation was paid apparently before Richard Pinniger Broome's death, or at least before his will was proved.
