Colin Campbell of St Elizabeth and Mary Tomlin were married in Westmoreland 24/11/1739. They had the following children baptised in Westmoreland: John, 13/05/1742; Tomlin, 26/12/1743; James, 23/01/1746; Mary, 20/08/1750; Henrietta, 20/03/1753; Elizabeth, 17/09/1754; Margaret, 13/12/1757 (born 28/1/1757).
Colin Campbell was listed in the Jamaican Quit Rent books for 1754 as the owner of 1555 acres of land in St Elizabeth.
Colin Campbell was buried in Westmoreland 17/6/1760.

Slave-ownership at probate: 131 of whom 70 were listed as male and 61 as female. 21 were listed as boys, girls or children. Total value of estate at probate: £49163.12 Jamaican currency of which £8450 currency was the value of enslaved people. Estate valuation included £400 currency cash, £35256.59 currency debts and £92.76 currency plate.
