Army officer, husband of the Jamaican heiress Mary Rowland.
Marriage 30/04/1807: "At Liverpool, Major Fraser, Aid-de-Camp to Lieutenant General Nugent, to Miss Rowland, niece of the late Gabriel Rowland, Esq. of Jamaica."
"William Fraser of the Parish City of Exeter Esquire and Mary Rowland of the Parish of Liverpool Spinster were married in Christ Church, in Liverpool aforesaid, on the fifth Day of April in the year One Thousand Eight Hundred and Seven."
William Fraser was in Jamaica to register Chatsworth in right of his wife in the slave registers of 1817, 1820 and 1823. He died in Jamaica, 01/11/1824.
