Biography

Tenant-for-life of estates in Antigua known in the Slave Registers as 'Colebrooke's' but previously as 'the Gaynor estates.' Daughter of Peter or Patrick Gaynor of Antigua (d. 1738).

Will of Dame Mary Colebrooke widow of Bath Somerset proved 23/11/1818. Under the will she bequeathed her estates, 'negroes', sugar in transit etc. to whichever of her family was entitled to them under the entail.
Her son Henry Thomas Colebrooke is in the ODNB as 'administrator in India and scholar.'
