Biography
Brother of Samuel Crooke (q.v.).
- Will of Milward Crooke planter of island of St Christopher [made in 1799 and attested in 1800] proved 12/04/1802. In the will he said: 'As to my worldly effects, having from my outset in life been encumbered with a family for the elder branches of which meaning my son William Greatheed Crooke and my daughter Sarah Crooke (now Sarah Julius) I was when little able to effect it obliged to advance very large sums of money and they being now in situations which ought if they conduct themselves properly to render further assistance from me unnecessary', he accordingly left them 10 guineas each. 'Whereas I have of late years been very unsuccessful in my undertakings', he left all the rest of his estate to his wife Margaret with the authority to decide how best to use it for the benefit of the family members left unprovided for.

The will of Mary Greatheed of Croydon (q.v). widow of Craister Greatheed proved 29/01/1793 indicates that the owners of Arnos Vale on St Vincent were her husband and Wm Crooke deceased, and she described Milward Crooke as her nephew.
