???? - 1835
Son of Sir Richard Neave (q.v.), and shown as the owner of the Sugar Loaf estate on Dominica in 1817. His father had left to him all his [the father's] property on Dominica in his will proved in 1814. John Neave was an East India Co. man, and his will deals with artefacts from Benares etc.: he appears to have sold the property and enslaved people in Dominica within a few years of inheriting it and them.
Will of John Neave of Exeter proved 06/06/1835, PROB 11/1848/247.
