A minor in 1768-1769, when the Accounts Produce for Pembroke Hall recorded his guardian as Elizabeth Herbert. Herbert was the family name of the Earls of Pembroke, but no connection has yet been established and nothing further on James Herbert or his guardian Elizabeth Herbert has yet been traced.
