From the Accounts Produce and from the letters of William Dwarris, it has been possible to deduce that Sarah Mulcaster the executrix of Thomas Stoakes Harris was his daughter, and that she had earlier married Peter Wallace, who died in Jamaica in 1782 or 1784. Sarah Wallace returned to England and appears to have remarried. That she was the mother of Peter Margetson Wallace (q.v.) is strengthened by the fact that when Peter Margetson Wallace was baptised in London in 1785, his sister was shown as Sarah Harris Wallace. According to Dwarris, the Wallaces had lived in Nottinghamshire and Sarah Wallace planned to return there.
Caribbeana V, 'Dwarris of Jamaica.'; Monumental Inscriptions shows: HERE LIETH THE BODY OF PETER WALLACE, ESQR WHO DIED THE 15th JULY, 1782 AGED 28 YEARS ALSO, THE BODY OF HIS SON THOMAS STOAKES WALLACE WHO DIED THE DAY FOLLOWING AGED 4 YEARS AND 5 MONTHS.
