Daughter and co-heir of Frances Butler of Greenwich (q.v.).
- Will of Mary Butler spinster of Greenwich [made in 1814] proved 08/01/1823. In the will she left all her property in Britain and Nevis in trust (she appointed as trustees Richard William Forbes of Rolvedon and Elizabeth Willshire or Wiltshire of Greenwich for the benefit of her [the testator's] sister Frances for life, with the residue if any to Mrs Frances Dent Plymouth, widow of Capt. Dent of the Royal Navy. She said her sister Frances was in a total and irrecoverable state of imbecility and she relied on Mrs Willshire or Wiltshire to take upon herself the taking care of her maintenance. [In the event, Frances Butler died in the year Mary Butler made her will, and she revoked the provisions of her first will and made Mrs Frances Dent of Plymouth her executrix and universal legatee].
