Biography
Husband of Elizabeth Ann Warner, father of Godschall Johnson I (q.v.) and son-in-law of Col. Edward Warner of Antigua and Eltham.
- Will of John Johnson of Blackheath Kent proved 15/05/1775. He left, according to the custom of the City of London he said, one-third of his estate to his wife, one-third to his children and had freedom to leave the remaining third. He left to his daughter Sarah Eyre from his one-third as much as would make up to £1150 as her share of his estate after taking account of her share as co-heir of another third: he noted that she was also entitled on his death to £2000 secured by her brother Godschall Johnson on her late mother's estate in Antigua. He made similar disposals from his one-third to bring his legacy to his son Godschall up to £1150; his son John to £1000 and his daughter Julia also to £1000. He noted that Godschall Johnson would come into the Antigua estate on the death of his wife, Godschall's mother, Elizabeth. He made Elizabeth his residuary heir.
