Biography

  1. Joseph Geohegan was overseer at Mount Pleasant, St Thomas-in-the-East, in 1778 and 1781, when John Kelly of St Thomas-in-the-East (q.v.) was the estate attorney (1778 and 1782). On this association basis, Joseph Geohegan is identified with the Joseph Geogehegan of St David, Planter, father of the Thomas Kelly Geogehegan who was bequeathed £2,000 by a codicil dated 23/11/1790 to the will of John Kelly of St Thomas-in-the-East, Jamaica, Esquire.
