Son of Richard Shawe (q.v.) and Emily nee Deffell, entitled on the death of his father to £10,000 that had been laid out on mortgage in Jamaica. This might refer to two estates in St Dorothy in which John Henry Deffell claimed compensation as the executor of Richard Shawe mortgagee.
