Annuitant for £500 p.a. secured on Colonarie Vale under the will of her uncle Walter Coningham (q.v.), as was her brother Robert Coningham (q.v.); after the death of the survivor of the two annuitants, the whole of Walter Coningham's property including Colonarie Vale estate was to be divided among the children of Robert Coningham and Hester Sterling. Hester Sterling's children with her husband the journalist Edward Sterling included John Sterling (q.v.) and Anthony Coningham Sterling, both with entries in the ODNB. Hester Sterling was buried at Holy Trinity Brompton aged 59 22/04/1843 when her address was given as South Place.
