Diplomat with an entry in the ODNB, and beneficiary of a settlement by his father-in-law Robert Burnet Jones (q.v.) on Morier's marriage to Anna Jones in 1815; the couple inherited further under Robert Burnet Jones' will in 1817. His son Robert Burnet David Morier also has an entry in the ODNB.
