Biography

Son of David Evans (q.v.) and correspondent with the Commissioners of Slave Compensation in 1837, when he was shown as of Bristol. He died in Herefordshire 05/11/1878. No will or probate record for him has yet been traced by LBS.

  1. In 1871, Henry Rawlins Evans sen. 'retired farmer' aged 69 born St Kitts was living with his son and his family at Swanston [sic] Court, Dilwyn, Herefordshire. A memorial showing his death 05/11/1878 and that of his son who predeceased him the same year were recorded at St Peter's Churchyard, Birley, Herefordshire. Will of Henry Rawlins Evans the younger of Swanston [sic] Court [the son], who died 21/01/1878 at Swanston [sic] Court proved 23/02/1878 by Parthenia Evans the relict the executrix for life if she remain a widow, effects £1500.
